Volunteer Projects

Our organization offers the largest range of trusted and affordable volunteer projects in Tanzania in Africa.

We recognizes the importance of volunteers, donors and the impact and more importantly the change that volunteers and donors can induce. A volunteer can help many ways! We welcome creative solutions, inputs and ideas to work towards our Organization goals.

Whether you want to teach, support environmental conservation volunteer projects, participate in volunteer building projects, or help at childcare centers, Our organization has volunteer opportunities to suit your goals, budget and the causes you care about.

Childcare Volunteer

Our Childcare volunteers provide assistance in a range of environments – community centers, day care centers, after school programs, and feeding programs.

Volunteer work is led by local staff and tasks vary depending on the specific placement, but generally involve providing personalized attention, mentoring, educational support, or playing games and assisting with daily operations, such as cooking and cleaning.

The objective of these projects is to provide operational support to under-resourced childcare centers, while fostering a two-way cultural exchange between international volunteers, children and staff at the centers. As a volunteer, you can feel confident that you will have a meaningful impact, while developing your global awareness and opening the minds of the children to new cultures and possibilities.

Environment & Conservation

As a volunteer, you will be working closely with local organizations and community members to support both proactive and reactive methods of protecting our natural environment.

Our conservation volunteering in Tanzania projects will be available year-round and are perfectly suited to volunteers who are up for a challenge and don’t mind getting their hands dirty. Volunteer work and duties are varied and dependent on the type of project you choose to participate on.

Teaching Volunteer

Teaching volunteer projects enable international volunteers to work alongside local teachers with the objective of promoting greater literacy, supporting opportunities for higher education, building vocational skills and enhancing career prospects among students.

Both first-time teachers and qualified teachers can volunteer to teach abroad as volunteers in Tanzania as the Destination. As a volunteer teacher, you may have the opportunity to teach independently, provide support to local teachers, or team up with other international volunteers to take lessons in a range of classroom settings, including schools, tutoring programs, community centers, special needs facilities and childcare centers.

Why teach abroad as a volunteer in Tanzania?

Access to education and the opportunity to study English are highly valued in the communities we work with. Whether you are a volunteer teaching English in Tanzania, or supporting the instruction of other subjects or extracurricular activities,
the students are eager to learn and participate.

The influence that international teaching volunteers have on the communities we work with goes beyond the classroom. Crossing boundaries to work side-by-side with students and teachers from different cultures fosters an invaluable two-way exchange, building cross-cultural understanding and global awareness.

Affordable Construction and Renovation volunteer projects in Tanzania enable international volunteers to work alongside local people to support building new structures for community use, renovating existing community buildings, and improving local infrastructure.

Our construction and building volunteer projects are often undertaken to support the developmental goals of schools, community centers , Our coming Children's Care Center , Incubation Center and recreational facilities where volunteers will work. The renovation or construction volunteer work will vary depending on your location, the unique community needs, and the different stages of construction work.

Volunteers can choose to volunteer for durations ranging from 1 week to 24 weeks and if you are supporting longer-term building projects, you will have the opportunity to continue the construction work of previous volunteers.

Volunteers do not require any previous experience or qualifications to participate on one of Our Organization Construction and Renovation projects, as you will be supported and led by a skilled member of the local team. A strong work ethic and an enthusiasm for a challenge are the key requirements for these projects, which offer a rewarding opportunity for volunteers who like to see the physical results of their hard work.

Community Development Volunteer

Community Development projects will offer a variety of opportunities for International volunteers that are often unique to the location they are set in but the shared purpose is to improve the circumstances of local communities. The work is often quite mixed and requires initiative to get projects off the ground as well as interaction with different groups of people.

This will include Women's Education , Youth's Support as well as Food Outreach.

Special Needs Care
Volunteer

Special Needs Care projects are best suited to volunteers of a caring and compassionate nature who are patient, hard working and willing to help with a range of duties. Medical students or healthcare professionals who are seeking physiotherapy volunteer opportunities are also able to support physical therapy while volunteering at the centers.

International volunteers can choose to volunteer for durations ranging from 1 week to 24 weeks and volunteer work can vary according to the location. General tasks include providing care, feeding, physical therapy, education, vocational skills- development, recreation and stimulation, as well as help with cleaning and maintaining facilities. Music & Arts Volunteer

Arts and Music volunteer projects enable international volunteers to be immersed in new creative environments with new cultural influences to share their talents and foster artistic learning among students from International volunteers.

They will choose to volunteer abroad for durations ranging from 1 week to 24 weeks, and whether you are adding a personal touch to costume design or teaching music and dance to eager learners in Tanzania, there is plenty of opportunity for expression and fun.

Sports Volunteer

Sports volunteer projects enable International volunteers to play a vital role in teaching youth within communities abroad the importance of maintaining active and healthy lifestyles, while building skills in teamwork and sportsmanship.

As volunteer teaching sports abroad, you will discover that the children thrive on the opportunity to learn new sports and develop their skills. To be an effective volunteer sports coach, you are encouraged to be inventive with your lesson plans, incorporating new games and sports, teaching new skills, and organizing
tournaments for the children.

Women Empowerment Volunteer

Trusted women’s empowerment programs provide volunteers with the opportunity to reduce social inequalities and help tackle women’s rights issues by increasing access to education and vocational training opportunities for women.

As a volunteer with Our Organization, you will support, and build on, the global movement to find solutions to empower women and girls by giving back on education-focused projects dedicated to women’s empowerment in Tanzania. These women’s rights volunteer opportunities have a strong focus on education because of the potential it has to enable people to improve their lives.

Many women and girls living in the communities we support face a wide range of social inequalities and often do not have the chance to complete their education or gain financial independence. Your volunteer work will contribute to the long-term goal of assisting social change and creating an inclusive society in which women have equal rights and are able to access education, healthcare and employment opportunities.

Volunteer work can also include empowering women through building confidence, developing financial independence, fostering entrepreneurship skills, and growing strong female leadership - all to support stronger, happier communities around the world. You can also expect to learn from a cross-cultural exchange, as you and your host community, will be challenged to engage with different cultures, ideas and perspectives.

NGO Support Volunteer

NGO Volunteer Support projects are ideal for people looking to gain International work experience, while sharing and developing their own skills and experience to help further the reach and impact of NGOs in communities in Tanzania.

As with volunteer internships or non-profit internships, NGO Support projects will enable International volunteers to take on a range of tasks, which can include general administration, grant writing, research, marketing, fundraising, IT support, website
development and teaching English.

The positive initiatives of NGOs are often limited by financial and staffing resources, and the support of International volunteers is invaluable in supporting NGOs to further their efforts within the community.

Elderly Care Volunteer

Elderly Care volunteer projects are well suited to caring and patient volunteers who are comfortable assisting with a range of duties within elderly care centers. In many of our project location in Tanzania, the responsibility of caring for the elderly is often left to social services if families cannot provide adequate support to their elders, and the support of international volunteers within these centers will greatly appreciated. Volunteer work varies by location but can include recreation and stimulation, feeding, physical therapy, as well as help with cleaning and maintaining facilities.

In addition to the operational support, the friendship, cross-cultural sharing, and mental stimulation that international volunteers provide is invaluable in supporting their overall health and wellbeing of the elders.
